Symbolism is introduced within the song by stating, ''the stairs creak as you sleep its keeping me awake'' That old lady is going out of her mind.Ghosts are getting closer and closer. To get into her mind. Get a handle on her fear and scare her to death.What he didn't know who is was.







Point of view is apparent in the song by how the lady is scared of her dead husband as he  come back to haunt her in the old house they owned,''now wait wait wait for me please hang around'' don't leave me alone in this house close something will happen to me. ''your mind is playing tricks on you my dear''' nothing is wrong. the characterization piece of the song was to display her dead husband as a ghosts. That he needed to send a message to his wife from the dead. Portraying that she knows now that everything is okay and she is safe. Her fear is gone knowing its her husband. That all he was doing was bringing peace to her fears of the things on her mind.

That his mind is stuck on her when he looks though a mirror he always sees her.Letting her go out of his mind is far from possible,''Im lookin right at the other half of me", when shes gone apart of him is gone.No one can replace the love he has for her,''the vacancy that sat in my heart is a space that you hold" She is his everything in this world. That my love for her will get stronger and stronger every time i see my reflection. He sees something in her that only he can see.
